About Our Founder
THEMBELANI MPAKATI
Thembelani Mpakati Is an attorney and founder of Mpakati Inc. Attorneys. Thembelani holds a National Diploma: Cost and Management Accounting from the Walter Sisulu University and an LLB from the University of South Africa.
Thembelani is an Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa and a Member of the Association of Certified Forensic Examiners (ACFE SA).Before his admission as an Attorney, Mr Mpakati worked in both the private and public sector in various portfolios over a period of 12 years.
He has also served as a Deputy Chairperson of the National Treasury Bargaining Council. He is currently the Deputy Chairperson of the National Association of Democratic Lawyers (NADEL), serving in its Tshwane Branch. He has gained good experience as a leader, negotiator and mediator. He has led many successful campaigns in labour movements under the banner of the National Education, Health and Allied Workers Union (NEHAWU)
MANDLA GXARISA
Mandla is an admitted advocate of the High Court of South Africa and he is a certified fraud examiner (CFE) since July 2011. He has approximately 17 years of experience combined in criminal investigations, forensic investigations and fraud risk management. Approximately 10 years of his years of experience were spent at supervisory roles. He was promoted to the position of an Assistant Manager in 2010 within the firm PricewaterhouseCoopers. During his career he has attended various workshops in fraud/ forensic investigations. He learnt, among other things, investigation skills, interviewing techniques, statement writing, information gathering, preservation and presentation as well as report writing. He completed course work relating to MPhil in Fraud Risk Management at the University of Pretoria & I am currently studying towards certification in ethics management.
